Battle at the Hilltop (August 2021)

SCCSA Dragons (2011) had an unbelievable tournament, winning in dramatic fashion (Battle at the Hilltop). The Dragons captivated a remarkable run making it all the way through to the finals of the tournament and winning on Penalty Kicks (which can be seen on YouTube, type in SCCSA Battle at the Hilltop). Congratulations to Coach Corey Wyatt, Kyle Sturgis and Andy Slowik.

Lancaster Summer Classic (Jun 2021)

Congratulations to the Boys Dragons 05 for winning the 2021 Lancaster Summer Classic. The boys were perfect on the weekend, including an exciting 2-1 Championship Game victory over Lancaster Elite Collegiate Academy. The team scored 13 goals, while conceding 2. Once again, their success was built on a total team effort. The team now turns their attention and will focus to prepare for the the NPL East Playoffs in Rock Hill, SC. Congrats again to the players and coaches on their continued success.

US Club Soccer NPL Regionals (Jun 2021)

Watch out Colorado, the the Dragons are flying west!

Congratulations to the Boys Dragons 05 on the outstanding accomplishment of making the National Premier League (NPL) Final Four! The team earned the spot through their 2-1 victory this morning over the Cleveland Force 05 in the Regional Semifinal. The team will travel to Denver, CO -July 7-12- where they will be one of four teams to compete for the U16 NPL National Championship! Game 1 of group play kicks off on July 8. Congratulations to the players, coaches, and supporters on this outstanding accomplishment.

EPYSA Challenge Cup Finals (Jun 2021)

The Comeback Kids did it again!

Dragons '09 (BU12) competed in the EPYSA Challenge Cup finals yesterday against a very strong team from Hershey SC. Just like the quarterfinals and semifinals the Dragons 09 found themselves having to come from behind. Early in the second half they fell behind 2-0. Where many would hang their head, this team seems to thrive on challenges. They dug deep and pressed and got one back with 15 to play and tied the game with 7 left and kept pressing. Unable to score again in regulation brought overtime. The team came out of the break determined and broke through with 1 minute remaining of overtime to take the lead 3-2. They closed out the game and where crowned Challenge Cup State Champs! What a crazy and awesome run by a group of kids who refused to give up.

Bloomsburg Showcase (Jun 2021)

Congrats to the Dragons ‘04 who went 4-0 at the Bloomsburg Showcase Tournament winning the top bracket. Great warm up for their trip to regionals in WV. Keep it up Boys!

FC Delco Players Cup (May 2021)

Dragons 05 Bring Home the Double Championships this past weekend!

Congratulations to the team on an outstanding weekend of soccer that saw them win the FC Delco Players Cup Championship (u16) and the Pennsylvania Regional Club League (PRCL) U16 Championship. It was a total team effort with excellent performances on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball- which culminated in a 1-0 win over PA Dominion to secure both Championships on Monday afternoon. Best of luck to the team’s players, coaches, and supporters as they prepare to travel to South Carolina later this month to compete in the National Premier League (NPL) Eastern Regional Championship.

EPYSA Presidents Cup Finals (May 2021)

President's Cup Champions!

Congrats to the Dragons '04 (BU17) on winning the State Presidents Cup and will represent Pennsylvania in the Regional Presidents Cup tournament in June. On Saturday night the Dragons 04 lined up against a strong Montgomery United squad who put up 9 goals in the semi finals. The Dragons conceded early on a broken play but didn't let if phase them. They continued to play their game generating opportunities but were unable to score before the half. They came out in the second half determined to get on the board and sent wave after wave of attack at Montgomery United. They finally broke through and tied the game with 15 minutes remaining. With 10 minutes left the team suffered another set back having to play down a man for the rest of regulation and into overtime. However the boys were so determined and played so hard it was hard to determine which team was short players. After 120 minutes of play the score was still tied at 1-1 and on to PK's. Having gone to PK's in the quarter finals, the team had its line up and was confident. After all shooters from Montgomery were done the count was 4-4 with the Dragons 04 captain left to shoot. SCCSA wins 5-4! Great job boys and best of luck in Regionals! Special thanks to all the fans that showed up to support the team including so many Dragons 2003 and 2005 players.

Hershey Memorial Day Challenge (May 2021)

Dragons 09 (BU09) are Finalists at Hershey Memorial Day Challenge!

Congrats to the Dragons 09 (BU12) players and coaches on a successful weekend. The team battled through rain and the cold to finish 2nd at the Hershey Memorial Day Challenge. The team also enjoyed some some bonding time Saturday at the hotel and especially in the indoor heated pool. Best of luck to the team as they play in the EPYSA Challenge Cup semi finals on Saturday vs Ukrainian Nationals.

CFC Invitational Tournament (Apr 2021)

Congratulations to our ‘07 Boys Fire who won their division at the FC Delco Spring Invitational today! The team went 2W-1T on the way to winning their division.

Delaware FC Spring Classic (Mar 2021)

Congratulations to the Dragons 09 (BU12) who were Champs of the top bracket of the Delaware FC Spring Classic. It was a hard fought weekend against quality teams from SAC (MD), FC Delco, and DE FC, where the Dragons went 3-0 and outscored the opponents 9-3. Great effort all around and best of luck to the team as they enter a busy spring season.

Steel Winter Showcase (Mar 2021)

Congratulations to our Boys Dragons 03 for finishing as Bracket Champions for the 2021 Steel United Winter Showcase. Playing with only 12 players and the team’s emergency goalkeeper due to injuries, the boys were perfect on the weekend going 3-0. The tallied 7 goals, while allowing just one (2 shutout wins). It was a complete team effort. Well done and congratulations on an outstanding weekend!

Hempfield Fall Classic (Nov 2020)

Congrats to the Dragons '05 (BU16) who had a strong start to the season at the Hempfield Fall classic. The team went 4-0 and with 4 shutouts. Great job boys and coaches!

Congrats to the Dragons '09 (BU12) who finished as Finalists at the Hempfield Fall Classic. Well done Boys!

Explorer Cup (Oct 2020)

The Dragons 10 Boys finished as runners-up in the Explorer Cup U11 Premier Division this past weekend, compiling a record of 3-1. The boys were perfect in their group matches, shutting out Pipeline SC Black 2-0, followed by a comeback 4-1 victory over FC Delco Black Downingtown and a commanding 4-1 win over Sporting Delaware 2010. While the team didn't come away victorious in the final against Old Line Black United, they played some of their best soccer of the season and are showing significant improvement which should carry over into their remaining PRCL League matches.
