Introducing Your 2023 EPYSA Presidents Cup Champions!
Congratulations to the SCCSA Dragons 08 on winning the U15 (2008) Presidents Cup State Championship. The team battled a talented Dillsburg SC squad in the in a highly contested championship game. Tied 0-0 at halftime, the Dragons 08 scored 2 goals in the first 15 minutes of the second half to take the lead. Dillsburg answered with a goal of their own to tighten the match. In the end, the Dragons 08 utilized their physical team defense the last 20 mins to secure the win and bring the cup home to SCCSA!
Thank you to all the supporters on the sideline today! It was great to your cheers supporting the team. The Championship gives the Dragons 08 the right to represent EPYSA in the Eastern Regional Tournament in mid- June, where the team will vie to punch their ticket to the National Championship Tournament. Congratulations again to the players, coaches, and supporters on an outstanding accomplishment. Go SCCSA! Go Dragons 08!
The SCCSA Boys Dragons 08 win a wild President’s State Cup Semifinal! It took 80 minutes of regulation (1-1), 30 minute of Extra Time (2-2) and PK’s (all 11 player’s shooting). When the dust settled, it came down to the goalkeepers- with Derrick Hall stopping the FC Ballyhoo’ keepers PK attempt and followed the big time save by drilling home his own PK!
The Dragons 08 advance to next Saturday’s Final at 11AM- USTC Field 4. Best of luck to the boys as they take the field to being home the Cup to SCCSA!
ON TO THE SEMIS! The Dragons 08 earned a 3-1 quarterfinals victory over the 2008 Boys Ukrainian Nationals Black Team this afternoon. The win advances the team to the EPYSA State President’s Cup Semifinals next weekend (Home Game). More information to follow. Congratulations to the team on an outstanding win! Congratulations to the Dragons 08 for winning Group B of the U15 EPYSA Presidents Cup. The team went undefeated in group play with 2 wins and 1 tie. Come out and support the team this Saturday, May 6 at 4:30 PM- as the team will host the Ukrainian Nationals for the quarterfinals match at the Unionville High School Stadium.
